The Cost of the Machine

Sticking to the principals of graphic design, I made a informational video about the rising energy and water costs of AI using Adobe After Effects, coming in around 3 minutes long. The video uses a limited color palette, textured graphics, and eye-catching composition to draw the eye in while making the viewer aware of the great cost using generative AI brings. The halftone ripped paper brings in the human elements, while the clean, gradient colored shapes show the more mechanical computer side.

The project is meant to be displayed in a gallery-like setting, so I also created a brochure to go alongside it that condenses the information to a more easily digestible format.
